Tomorrow, February 4, 2015, I will embark on my first DietBet journey through a 4-week kickstarter game. Words can't describe how excited I am, but also a little nervous.
I am a soon to be 20 year old junior in college and need to get my life together! I've struggled with my weight throughout my entire life. While I've not always been obese, I've been overweight or have had body image issues since I was very young. I want to appreciate the body that I have and stop treating it like complete trash. ):
I have been very bad in the past about losing weight. The most I've ever lost was 15 pounds, but then still gained it back (and then some). I get motivated during the first couple of days, but then I completely fall off of the wagon and into the same old patterns.
So, how much do I have to lose? A solid 7.16 pounds. Is this achievable? Definitely. Will I succeed? I certainly hope so! Not only does my health depend on it, but also the $25 I put in. (:
These 7 pounds aren't all I hope to lose, though. I am set on losing 59 pounds by January 1, 2016. Is this a strict deadline? Of course not, but hopefully I will keep up the determination and lose most of it before then. Even being 20 pounds lighter will significantly improve my health.
While I am still nervous about starting, I hope to make some friends along the way. I work better when I am held accountable for performing poorly! If any of you reading this would like to work on this together, please don't be afraid to contact me!
