I have been working very hard to exercise in some way most days. Some days it's just walking my pups or swimming laps but it's more than I used to do and that is my ultimate goal; do more than you did, be better than you used to be. It's the weekends that are toughest for me. I tend to eat too many simple carbs, sugar, and alcohol. I can go days or weeks without sugar or alcohol but when I indulge, I eat or drink to excess. This is my problem. Then I've sabotaged my hard work and feel so terrible and toxic. Then half of the next week is playing catch up just to get where I was Friday. I am conscience of this now and I am confident that balance and not over indulging is the key to my success.

You are absolutely correct! Now that you are aware of the cycle, just plan moderation. Instead of 3 drinks, limit to 1 and switch to club soda or water. Instead of 4 pieces of pizza, limit to 1 and a salad. You can do it!
