Stacey, I could really relate to your blog post. I've gained and lost and re-gained and avoided and made plenty of excuses. Right before the holidays I just realized if I had stuck with this when I signed up for my first DietBet two years ago I would be at my goal weight and my weight wouldn't be holding me back. I'm 43 and, while my lab work looks great, continuing on an unhealthy path is like a ticking time bomb. I am determined to stick with this and make a lasting lifestyle change. Even still, I am afraid of failing again. This time I'm seeking support, being vocal about what I'm doing and using everything I've learned about what has and hasn't worked for me in the past. So far I've lost 31 pounds since January 1st. One day at a time. We can do this. We may stumble along the way but as long as we keep going we will get there!
It's true...I haven't even had time to weigh in, I'm so bloody swamped with everything! I am though doing pretty well for now with my eating schedule, what I'm eating and how much. I still eat the foods I love I just don't eat the thousand's of calories I used to a day!
