This is day 2 of my first Diet Bet and it's not bad at all.

My strategy for weight loss, so far, is to eliminate my poor food choices and *just get moving* a bit. The scale says I"m down one pound, so either it's working out, or that scale is just toying with me.

Yesterday, I bought some hiking boots at Cabella's. They are (supposedly) waterproof, so no excuses, right? I did move around a bit, checking out all the Cabella's stuff. There is quite a bit of stuff there, and lots of obstacles (people) out on a Saturday to maneuver around, so at least that was some walking.

Now I'm noticing all the forbidden fruits (free fudge samples? Seriously? It's an outdoor enthusiasts' store, why free fudge? Why not free rock wall climbing?) Oh, look, there is a chocolate candies store right there, in the same shopping area. Nice. 

I did not partake in the free fudge. I did not do the chocolate candy store. yay. seriously. yay me  I came home and had hummus with crackers and some black table grapes instead. And I was hungry, which I haven't felt in awhile, what with my recent emotional eating patterns staving off hunger for the past several months. And since I like hummus and fruit, that worked out pretty well for me. :)

And today I am just a bit closer to my goal. So, yeah, YAY ME!
