I know that sounds crazy, but I do. I have overtrained my pecs and gotten a Stage 2 muscle strain. I woke up Monday morning to swelling so bad it looks like I have two boobs stacked on top of each other.
You know what, tho? I just means I can't train my pecs for a couple of weeks. Hasn't kept me off the elliptical, bike, or treadmill. Normally I would have used it as an excuse to not workout. Not this time. No way. I gots me some proving to do. To myself.
My mom is a breast cancer survivor (and she got it early-ish). We don't mess around with that in our house. I am not only relieved it turned out to be a muscle strain, but I am using it as nice motivation to keep myself healthy.
We never know what we will face down the line; best be as healthy as possible to fight the best fight we can. ;oP
