The winnings are horrible. I'd bet most games yield 10-20%. Diet bet takes a nice 20% of winnings. So of course they want you to join multiple games and auto-enroll you after each games end. If they weren't making hand over fist in cash. I know their overhead isn't that high to keep 20% of all winnings. Make the winnings % data public, then we'll talk.

Sign in to CommentI am well aware that dietbet keeps 25% of the winnings as it clearly states on the homepage and I don't have a problem with that. Nobody is forcing you to give dietbet your money so if you don't like it, don't join anymore games. Don't go around to active games and add comments directing people to this blog. Honestly, what were you hoping to gain? A bunch of people magically realize that dietbet is a business and earns a profit? I'm loosing weight and having fun doing so. For me, it's not about making money, the money just keeps me motivated not to slack off so I don't loose money.

They do make the winnings public. They are on the home page. You can click on any game that has finished and see how many people won and how much money they made. In all the the transformer games that have finished, people who won doubled their money. Not to be negative, but if you don't like it, then why do you keep joining games? Good luck in your weightloss journey.
I spent hundreds on weight watchers until I could not afford to go there any more. There was no "at home" support where I needed it, and it COST me money. With Dietbet, all the support I need is at my fingertips, people with the same issues I have. And the icing on the cake is, that if I do things right & make my goal, I not only get my initial money back, but have the potential to EARN money for my trouble. It's worth it all to me. As for the money they make..... all I have to say is, "I WISH I'D THOUGHT OF IT FIRST"!!! Keep on going Dietbet!!!
Well, for me, it motivates me like nothing else I have found. Especially the awesome folks on the boards - love the support and motivation. Plus I am getting paid to lose weight. Good for DB for thinking up the concept. Just wish it had been me. Good luck on your weight loss.
