My name is Paige Lewis,
Okay so today is the night before the first day of my first dietbet challenge!! I'm 19 years old and a sophmore in college. I am 5' 6" and 150 lbs. I played volleyball, basketball, and track in high school and I gained the freshman 20 (lol) in college because I wasn't an athlete anymore but I was eating like one! I LOVE food...that's the hardest part. I do love working out too but I'm SO good at convincing my self I "don't have time" or "I will later". When I get stressed I eat (I'm stresseed a lot I'm a college student) and that's so bad. I've of coarse gone back and forth between eating healthy and working out and then quitting and I hope I'm DONE with that is sucks! Also I am lactose intolerant and still eat dairy, which is terrible for me! So I've decided to cut it out and after one week my belly already flattened becuase of the bloating the dairy did to me! :)
I can't wait to start this journey and this challenge! I'm not sure how much weight I'll lose becuase there will hopefully we some muscle gain. I only weight 142 to the at-home scale but 150 at doctors scales :/ But i'm still hoping it'll equal about 10 pounds! I wan't to impress the mirror more than the scale that's my goal is to just be happy about my body again!
I'm not really sure how to blog so I'm sorry to people reading this! I've heard it helps so I'll put my hardships and tryumphs on here and I hope some people will support me and give me their stories of inspiration. Because after all "Motivation doesn't last, like showers, it's recomended daily! ;)"
I CAN DO THIS!!!

This is my first time out too, like you, I used to be an athlete and love, love, love to eat! That getting away from sports and continuing to eat as though you're still hitting it hard is a dangerous business. Much like getting started again with say running and imagining that you can still run 8-10 miles straight out of the gate. Been there, done that. Discouraging. Hang in there, take it a day and week at a time, you'll be all over this with your history and this wonderful group of positive people. You got this!
Thanks for sharing your story. You can do this! Even if your only taking a walk each day, keep moving--and stay away from the milk!
