I'm back from St. Thomas, a week of sunshine, beaches and RUM and I am happy to say that I enjoyed myself thoroughly, drank plenty of silly drinks (painkillers are my new favorite), ate a couple of deserts and only gained 4.5 pounds! That is a huge victory for me.

I didn't worry about whether I could have something. I was able to relax on vacation because I've been focusing on eating healthy over the past 6 months so I didn't go crazy with junk foods, I ate mostly healthy, yummy foods and didn't feel deprived. At All! That is the key for me. If I feel deprived I am going to sabotage myself.

I've been a Weight Watcher member for a LONG time (like over 10 years long) and I love their program but for the past year or so I had been in a rut, losing 5 pounds, then gaining it back. It wasn't until I joined my first transformer (which ended the day before I left for vacation) that I actually started losing again. The community was super friendly and supportive and were going through the same challenges I was. They motivated me to get my butt in gear!

I had every intention of waiting until January 1 (cliche - I know) to join another transformer but then I did the math and realized if I start now I will be at my goal wieght by the end of May and stay on track during the holidays! So I am going to be joining a new transformer, today (of course I'll probably show more of a gain if I weigh in now but I'm cool with it), and I'll be reaching my goal in 2016!
