I am not a regular blogger, but have decided to share my thoughts at least once a week to hold myslef accoutnable. They areinteneded to help me with my weight loss journey, but others may find my words useful.
On October 15th I will turn 60. Certainly a time for reflection, and when I look in the mirror, I am never happy with what I see. I do what I can to avoid pictures becsue it mekes my reality hard to avoid. My life has been a continuous weight loss struggle since my early teens, when loved ones called me pudgy. As I stare down the dreaded birthday that brings on a new decade, I want to be healthy, for me, my husband and my family. Recently, I have started with small changes. I walked my first 5k with my daughter on June 22nd. We had so much fun we signed up for another on August 23rd. I've reealized that gluten is not my friend and have made changes in my eating patterns. I am starting to feel good, and motivated to accept a healthier lifestyle. When I came across the post for DietBet, I knew that the time was right and I was ready!
