So...here we are. I just turned 31 and this marks the deadline I set for myself at my last birthday. Just to recap--
When I was turning 30 (Jan. 4th, 2014) I was having a bit of a hard time with that number/age for some reason. I decided not to let the year/age get to me and to do something big and for myself.
I embarked on a 52 week/1 year journey. To lose 52 lbs.
Results are in, I didn't quite make it but I never gave up and I am still not going to give up. This year 2015 I will make it to my original goal and then some. I hope by year 32, I will have got down to 121 and perhaps put some of that back on as muscle and end at or near my orginal goal of 130.
Here are my stats-
1/5/2014:
Starting weight was 182.4
It wasn't until I started T-25 that I did my measurements, but none the less on 2/24/2014 I measured in with...
Arms-15 inches each
Legs- 21 inches each
Chest- 40.5 inches
Waist- 36 inches
Hips- 40 inches
1/5/2015:
Current weight 134 ---Total loss of 48.4 lbs
Arms 12 inches each ---Total loss of 3 inches on each arm or 6 inches
Legs 20 inches each ---Total loss of 1 inch on each leg or 2 inches
Chest 36 inches ---Total loss of 4.5 inches
Waist 32.5 inches ---Total loss of 3.5 inches
Hips 35.75 inches ---Total loss of 4.25 inches
Total inches lost this year--- 20.25 inches
While I am 3.6 lbs short of my 52 lbs in 52 weeks goal I made it pretty far! I lost almost 27% of myself and that is awesome!!! It is my 10 year wedding anniversary this year and 121 was my wedding weight, I am hoping to get back down to 121 by August just to say that it could be done. However, no matter what I have already won, I looked over my wedding photo last night and I was "skinny-fat." I think I am in better shape now then I was then.
All in all it has been a great year! I will likely write again on this topic with less of the facts and more of the struggle/emotion of it all. But I wanted to at least get this part posted.
