That is a great goal, Krys! My brother tried a number of years ago, but contracted such bad altitude sickness that he had to turn back. He also had not really trained as much as he needed to. Good for you for naming and seeking your goal!

Glad it gave you a smile ;) I was up three pounds and back over my goal and was like WTF?! Silly women issues! hahaha

I saw her post too, and I am definitely interested in doing that one, but I want to sign up for one for October too - like a next week type thing to keep my momentum up!

Oh, sorry you're feeling sick! Do you like tea? When I'm sick, I like to drink tea. Maybe a few cups of tea today will temporarily (I know, only temporarily) fill your tummy and also feel comforting? No one wants to eat raw fruit or vegetables when they're sick. How about some hot broth or soup? Same hopeful result. When you get home, go to bed as soon as you can. If you're asleep, you'll give your body the rest it probably needs--and you won't be awake to eat! Sorry these are lame diet-friendly tips, but I really do hope you feel better. I'll walk today for both of us! Maybe that will motivate me to go by myself, since I can't walk with co-workers today. Feel better!

Thanks sweetie! It does help... makes me think that I can do this. I have people who are believing in me and it's such a great motivator. I'll do my best to drink lots of water and tea, and I have a tomato soup I can warm up for lunch as well! Those are great suggestions :) You can definitely walk by yourself too! Put some music on and rock out ;) Who cares what other people think?? :)

Hi there. How has it been going? I'm working at home today and just thought I'd send you a quick message. I'm kind of proud of myself for having finally added exercise for THREE WHOLE DAYS! I've walked every day, and I finally did some hand weights during commercials while watching TV last night. It's been really hard not to snack at night, but I've been managing to either not have anything or to have a WW frozen treat or fruit. Hope you have a great day.

I'm SOO proud of you! That's a HUGE accomplishment! :) And the results are showing - you've already made your dietbet! And if you keep it up, there's no limit to where you'll be ;) I'm not feeling well today (or yesterday) but I'm at work, hoping to make it through the day. I like to snack when I'm sick, and the scale was up this morning, so I have to be more diligent. Appreciate the message :)

Hi Krys. How's your day going? To answer your original questions, I'm not following any program or apps. I'm pretty much just trying to eat whole foods and loosely follow what I ate on Weight Watchers. Starting today I'm trying to add exercise (not my favorite thing) and took two 15-minute walks. I might post this lame accomplishment. Hope you're doing great!

That's a HUGE accomplishment! I remember how long it took me to get into exercising. YEARS. Not kidding you. And whole foods is where it's at! You're doing great :) I hope you've had a wonderful day! I have enjoyed mine, but I'm very sore! 4 different types of workouts... ow! :P
