Non-scale victory of the week!
We drove down to Salt Lake City over the weekend and I gained almost 5 pounds in just a couple days. My heart is really telling me to not eat the keto diet because it conflicts with the word of wisdom and I’ve been trying to do it out of curiosity to just drop weight quickly but it does not make my body feel good. I’m not a constipated person ever, and when I eat keto I feel all blocked up and crazy. I also feel like fruit is so important for our health and has many vitamins and minerals in it. I’m used to drinking green smoothies that have banana and spinach in them and can’t do that if I’m eating keto. So I think for now I’m just gonna go back to what was working for me before. Aim to eat about 1300 cal of a whole foods plant-based diet, no refined flours, no refined sugar, cutting out the chips, which is major for me, and other fried foods. I went out to Denny’s last night with a bunch of other women for a girls night, and I ordered a veggie burger on a whole wheat bun no cheese, and I had it with avocado and caramelized onions. I debated whether I should get the fries or the fruit cup and I chose the fruit cup because I’m not eating fried foods. So really having your goal set in your mind and your list of what you will allow yourself and what you wanna lie yourself to do is massively helpful. I totally would’ve eaten fries otherwise. I did have pop and popcorn at the movies though, so I didn’t eat 100% clean yesterday unfortunately. I’m also starting an exercise plan which has me doing the firm workouts multiple times weekly to push myself harder. I’m experiencing weight loss but I’m not experiencing muscle gain and muscle tightening the way that I would have if I was doing the firm workouts. In fact I don’t really notice the difference at all other than a little bit of fat loss. I miss my muscles! I cannot wait to have my strong and capable muscles back, so I’m excited, way excited to do these workouts and push myself. Stress and pressure leads to growth and change.
What do you feel you could have done better this week?
Eat a clean diet. Exercise! I only did 1 little yoga workout so far this entire week. Get it girl! Firm workout PLUS 2 miles of walking EACH day.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?
All the things. Exercise hard daily. Drink TONS of water. EAT CLEAN and within my calories, which is the most important. I have 4.3 lbs to lose before my next DietBet weigh in, and only 10 days to go, so I need 110% consistency.
