wow... I feel like as I read your response it was my thoughts about the last couple weeks. I was doing awesome counting calories, but then thought I was emphasizing that too much and have been more relaxed and now am not losing weight. gosh finding balance can be so challenging! i am doing the action plan and a bit nervous that I will get too legalistic about it all... but I know that it takes trying to find that place of peace.

one thing I realized this weekend (and it came to me 3 times on 3 occasions- which I don't think were of my own ;) ) is that discipline and legalistic is ok if we are using it as a tool that he has taught us. If we have been given knowledge on how to lose weight it would only be foolish not to use that information. That all being said as long as we don't feel our self worth from the scale, or are losing weight to find love from someone else....KWIM? I think as long as God is first in our lives and we seek him throughout the trials and tribulations we have, it's ok to have discipline. That's my new way anyway :) AND I want to thank you, because I never would have heard about this study and I have gained so much in my walk with God! not even with the "dieting" but I've had some real close times and he's helped me to see a few things in my life that need work!
