I attended my first orangetheory class since my move from the east coast to the west (a year ago now!) and fell right back in love and signed up for unlimited on the spot. I don’t have a car in Cali but I took the bus there and back and I realized the 30 min ride is a great time to read, answer emails, or just zone out and have time to myself. I’m planning on going 4x a week and I know after a few weeks the routine will become second nature. I’m ready to fall back in love with fitness!

First class down and my legs are feeling pretty great, tomorrow I’ll be another story but I’ve signed up for a yoga class to help!

This time it looks like I can’t crack the numbers. I haven’t been as active as I thought I would be, but keeping the diet in control. The scale just hasn’t moved in over a week. How’s everyone doing so far?

I aagree with the diet. I do great if I have a plan but the minute someone shows up with somethign that sounds or look good I struggle and that whim craving stinks.

  • I discovered a great protein bar today…Barebells caramel and cashew. 200 calories but 20g of protein. I was about to grab a single quest bar at my local Walmart when a random customer said these barebells are great. I figured what the heck and tried something new and I have zero regrets.

Hahahaha I bought two pairs of shorts in two sizes for vaca next month. Hoping I’ll fit into the smaller of the two and be able to return the larger at the end of 30 days.

The ways our bodies react to certain foods is absolutely amazing. I broke down and had Thai food for dinner last night, a normal portion too (nothing crazy) and I woke up 4lbs heavier. Most likely due to the high salt but still, insane! I don’t regret it, it was amazing and I know I’ll flush it out today/tomorrow.

Okay time to be real. This is my 8th time starting a diet bet and I’ve never finished one. But that is about to change. I can’t wait to fit into my jeans again so I can stop wearing leggings everywhere. I can’t wait to change my cravings to healthier options. And I can’t wait to feel comfortable just walking down the street.

I use to be a personal trainer and worked out 3-4 times a day and ate the healthiest of meals all day. Then Covid hit and I turned to comfort food like pizza rolls and mac and cheese + whiskey and beer. I know how to make healthier versions of both of those things and I need to say no to that after work drink.

I can’t wait to finish this diet bet with you all and finally see progress in this journey of becoming comfortable again

Yeahhh that’s very very relatable.

I’m holding on to the fact that there are 3 months left in the year and I don’t want to go into the year with another New Year’s resolution to lose weight!

Same! I was super focused up until summer started and then would try to get back on track and sign up for DietBets and just not be into it. But I’m now focusing on the things I did when I was losing weight and thinking about how good it made me feel and I want to get back to that healthy mindset. We can do this!!
