Ooookkkkk.. 2B bunnies who have made the sheet pan nuggets... Have I been making them WRONG all this time?
My cans are 12.5 oz, and the recipe calls for 15 oz, drained. I usually make a double batch because my family eats a ton of them, but at 12.5 oz × 2 cans I'm working with 25oz and usually do 6 eggs instead of 8, 1 c cheese instead of 1 1/2 etc.... BUT obviously the canned weight is before I've drained it (closer to 7oz after draining). 😅 So mine have likely been far eggier and cheesier than intended, right? I SHOULD drain 2 cans, totalling closer to 14-15 oz and do the recipe as written, yeah?

I've been making the candy bar protein shake that I saw ilana make in her stories. It's with frozen zucchini, peqnut butter ( or pb fit powder) banana, recover chocolate protein and dates. I add a little milk but mostly water

Just over 24 hours ago, my family received the news that a cousin of mine had been in a shoot out with police and killed.

I spent most of yesterday in shock and definitely wasn't as mindful with my choices as I'd intended to be. Emotionally, I feel like it's just now hitting me. Going to channel the grief into a LAVA flow and set my eyes on processing via words, people, movement, and NOT comfort food and checking out.

  • About 1 lb up after a few later dinners for wedding festivities. Woke up feeling a little discouraged and then decided to lean into a Lava workout and be empowered to choose health today! Tbh, even just the few bites and samples of the sugary/processed food make it HARD to choose veggies, water and health, but I'm working on it! 💕

  • Days 1+2 of our trip have gone pretty well! Managed to make the long travel day a weight loss day, but yesterday ended up as a weight gain (likely in large part from the extra oils in the taco bar fajita veggies @ rehearsal dinner and later timing). In any case, I woke up and did a LAVA workout poolside!

    Great protein and FFC breakfast, and I have a good plan for a light but satisfying lunch before heading into the wedding dinner tonight!

    I genuinely enjoy making trips/vacations feel like a good health reset - I'm not at home dealing with my usual tasks and workload, no foster care visits while we're away, etc! So why not use the "luxury" of the extra time for enjoying a healthy meal or a walk to explore a new city! 💕

Had a successful date night out last night prioritizing veggies and then after dinner tea and walking!

We leave tomorrow very early for a 5 day family trip! Groceries are scheduled for delivery to the Airbnb and I've packed lots of protein options and planned out an airport layover lunch! Determined to make the most of our time away as a weight loss week!
