Hey Yall! I could use a little extra push/encouragement. My grandpa passed away on Tuesday of this past week, the funeral is on Thursday this week, I fell off track just a little with my calorie intake because we were traveling back and forth by car (2 hour drive from my house) to the the hospital two days and row and after a long day in the car and at the hospital no one wants to cook so I was naughty and ate out. Ughh!! Here’s to a better week and getting back on track!!! I also have a sore throat, Minnesota has been having some ickish weather.

First and foremost, I’m so sorry about your grandfather. :( With regards to the foods you ate… no worries. This is life and sometimes we get thrown some curveballs. Trust me when I say it won’t make or break you so keep your head held high, look ahead and get back on track. You’ve got this!!!

  • Date night with hubby last night. Went to see Deadpool 3. Super fun! I stopped at the corner store and bought a G2 (less sugar than pop/soda) and one chocolate bar. At the movies, I grabbed a large popcorn with butter. I ended up only eating half the bag and drinking the G2. I didn’t eat the chocolate. In the past, I would have eaten the entire bag of popcorn plus 2-3 bars of chocolate and large pop/soda. Yay me!!! Small changes add up!

  • Today is a “chill” day. Slept in a little bit. Enjoyed a black tea while watching “The Final Table” on Netflix. Made some mini-meatloaves for dinner tonight, keeping the carb-count low as much as possible. Mine have no cheddar cheese as I am still trialing no dairy. Hope you’re all having an awesome day! #carnivore-ketovore

Agreed with everyone here! I’ve also found yoga and mediation really helpful for reducing my over eating. It trains me to be in the moment and listen to my body more :)

Finally submitted my starting weigh-in…. Now we wait for the ✅…. 😂

Had a great day yesterday! Stuck to my nutrition plan. I even stayed away from dairy because I think it’s inflammatory for me. Not to say everyone reacts to dairy but I think I do. I have noticed I always wake up really sore all over and my joints hurt sooooo badly the following day after I’ve had coffee with cream. I’ve been testing out this theory the past few weeks.

No dairy yesterday and I woke up without pain. Huh. Interesting.

Well… so far so good. I can walk up the stairs easily now. My entire body (muscles, joints) was aching before I started my “no-dairy” experiment. As for alternatives, I’m not too worried about it. I don’t feel like I’m “missing out”. I don’t consume any soy-based products because it’s an estrogen-disruptor. It messes with testosterone too. ;)
