**CHALLENGE ALERT**
HAPPY MONDAY ROCKSTARS!! Sometimes the trick to the next weight loss isn’t a new method but a new recipe. This week’s weight loss challenge is to make sure you eat 2 cups of veggies by 2 pm. This helps your weight as well as health and sense of control throughout the day. This Greek cauliflower rice recipe is one of my favorites and is full of a variety of veggies.

  • These 3 crackers are 17 grams of carbs.......that's probably all the carbs I'll eat today - I know I need a few carbs. You might think this picture looks terrible..........well rest assured my 2nd husband took over the kitchen years ago basically right away. (when we were dating I told him don't eat my chocolate chip cookies you might die don't eat them......................he ate one) This is tuna fish, mayonaise, relish and cheese aka keto diet success : )
    I watch all you all be's working out everyday...............I'm fitting to let the ketones do all the work and relax : )

Something that helps me quite a bit when the scale goes up… a pound of fat is 3,500 calories. Yes, you may fluctuate up and down a few lbs each day but eating a cookie after dinner did not ADD 3,500 to your day and make you gain a whole pound of fat. It just didn’t. So don’t give up!!!! A cookie is a cookie; eat it, enjoy it, track it and move on!

Honestly, sometimes when the scale isn’t budging for me, indulging in a few extra calories such as a cookie or chips helps break the stall and makes the scale move.

  • Was constipated a lot doing the "egg diet" now I am still on the egg diet cause hard at work escaping diabeties (for real those that didn't read that post I posted 3 months ago my A1C was nine, that's diabetic type 2 but dr. no put me on any medication yet cause I have already lost so much weight he thinks I'm no longer diabetic). Me and nicocado avocado know "the secret" - he eats black bean noodles so different type of noodle then what is pictured below but I think similiar. Low carb, low calorie, then you don't just eat the noodles noooooooooo drink lots of fluids before and/or after eating these noodles..........cause then you feel even fuller. And next time I'm probably adding veggies to the noodles......today I just sprinkled some rice flavoring.

I love black bean noodles and other beans noodles. They are such an easy way to add extra protein to a meal and taste great.

Feeling discouraged. I am not losing weight but doing all the right things (so I thought). Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: cucumber salad... i planned on having tuna and cracker with it but work got busy
Dinner: taco salad (ground beef, lettuce, peppers, cheese)
Lots of water (over 80oz) and dinner and done! Gained .5 pounds

What am i doing wrong?!

I agree with the fat comment. When I did my macros to lose fat around my stomach, my coach told me to cut fat to 20% of my diet each day. So if I am trying to lose fat, I can’t eat avocados, olives, or any meat high in fat like bacon! It’s super hard because salmon is high in fat too. I end up eating chicken and shrimp a lot!!!

Someone told me this once…The work you do this week will show up next week on the scale and vise versa of you aren’t working the negatives of that will show next week
That’s why it’s so hard. It takes time to see it.

I feel like I rarely have successes. I don't really have a support network of any kind (except here). But I started a pilates plan and have been doing well my first 5 visits and look forward to more. My diet has been trash and that's what I want to start making slow permanent changes on. I also have bad eating habits, like eating once a day (busy ER vet), that I've GOT to change. Ugh. Anyone else get it? Anyone have good advice, it's appreciated!

Pick a few changes to add at a time so it’s not so overwhelming. I rarely do meal prep but every week I do snack prep (clean/cut fruits & veggies, hardboil eggs, preportion out treats so that I don’t eat 1/2 a bag of chips) because snacking is always an issue with me.
