Thanks. That 10 miles seemed a lot harder the the half marathon I did 3 weeks earlier. I think it was due to the heat/humidity. Thank goodness the sun decided to stay in that morning.

its funny how we are around the same weight - hows your week going? im struggling but planning on resetting everything tommorow am and starting fresh

Donna - for so much of the year I was calling myself a non-runner after running in so many races. I would say but the real runners .... A friend finally said ...Deb you are a real runner also. It really gets a bit emotional for me when I think about me being a runner.

Replied in the main comments. I will admit that crossing that finish line everytime almost makes me want to cry because it is just amazing that I am out there doing it. And setting a new PR (personal record) is always emotional. My goal for 2012 is to get my 5K to under 30 minutes. Haven't reached it yet but I was close once. Got 30:08 so hopefully by December I can shave off some time and get my 5K consisently below 30.

Donna ... I have only been running a year. A year ago I would have told you you were crazy if you thought I would go run. I will be celebrating my one year anniversary of running in two weeks at the Austin 10/20.

I listen to mostly country music when I run but when it comes to half marathons people think I am crazy cause I listen to classic country. I like to sing loud and proud and yes I get some looks when I am belting out Loretta Lynn but hey gets me to the finish line.
