Hi everyone)
I have an odd question...
My UP3 is connected with DietBet and I checked "Post my activity in DietBet" box, but I don't see any posts from it. I thought it'll be automatic: when I'm done with workout - it's synchronizing to DietBet and writing what I did or how much steps I took. Did I miss something? Do I need to synchronize it manually somehow?

The helpful thing about these contests is that everyone will have at least one bad week. You then have the opportunity (and motivation since the contest is not over yet) to figure out what happened to get off track, get some insight on how your body/your life works in this area and learn what will help you to lose and then later maintain your weight loss. If you were not in a contest, you might just give up, how many of us have given up over and over?....Keep at it, anyone can be successful if nothing goes wrong. A true winner is a person who picks themself up when things don't work out and gets right back at it!

Edison (inventor of light bulb) failed over 3000 times. His comment was that he now knew 3000 ways to make a light bulb that do not work, he was then much closer to success.

You go, girl, you've got this!!!

Mine has helped me lose 50+ lbs....mainly it gives you feedback on how inactive you are, LOL.....

I have target numbers for noon, 5 pm and bedtime....if the noon is low then I "step" it up for the afternoon, ditto for 5 pm, step it up for evening. Bedtime on is the worst...sometimes I march in place in front of TV to get the rest of my goal in. That is on my good days : ) Unfortunately, some days I just go to bed : (

I love my Up3, I've been using it since November 30th and it's helped me lose 43 pounds so far! Sometimes I wish I had a FitBit though, because I don't know anyone else with an Up!

Do you know about the Smart Coach feature? The little comments, information tidbits and statistics that show on your app can be influenced by you clicking on the "like" (upwards thumb) below the comment....the feature means that over time, you get more of the feedback and little tidbits of information that you enjoy. It "learns" from your input what you like.

I don't particularly like most of the stuff with sleep myself, but enjoy things like "you are in the top 40% of female upsters in your age group" and bits like "you are 200 steps from your average this week of xxxxx" so I click on those items...

the little coach guy and his comment that comes up when you click on the like button is cute also....

Good Monday Morning.....what is your plan this week to get your steps in? Have you considered a "dance" break, put on music and dance around....always good for a few steps...

Do any of y'all have a step goal that you are working to right now? Care to share it? Also ideas on how to "sneak in" more steps would be great!
I have been in several step contests (currently one with a competitor website) so am typically over the 10K mark but now am shooting higher for my own personal goals!

You can set your goal steps in the Move part of the Goals section of the tracker, then it buzzes and flashes when you finish your goal for the day. Cute and fun! Love the buzz/flash!

  • FYI - setting step goals - Move setting is slide the dot (you can also set sleep goals and it will give you statistics - no buzz and flash for sleep, thankfully)...hopefully your app looks similar to mine.
