I'm off and running in a challenge to lose four percent of my body weight (approximately 10 pounds) over the next four weeks. I've been extremely lazy the past few years and I want my sexy back.
I've been working out consistently – mainly lifting weights – for the past three or four months. But while I've become much stronger, I haven't lost any weight because I've been drinking way too much beer.
That stops today.
Participants in this challenge paid an entry fee of $35. The winner(s) will take home some of that money. I could care less about the money because this is an opportunity to make a life change for the better. A much needed change.
I currently weigh 246 pounds. My goal is to be 225 pounds at the end of the challenge. By the time summer rolls around, I plan on being shredded like Jake Gyllenhall is in his new boxing movie (coming out next summer). Soon enough I'll be a lean, mean, 215-pound selfie-snapping machine.
If When that happens, I'll probably never wear a shirt again.
Here's my workout today, in chronological order.

- Walk 1 minute at 3.5 mph
- Run 9 minutes at 7 mph
