No worries, we aren't in competition with each other. =) It's just you and your scale. We'll be cheering each other on!!! As far as the water goes, I only have problems drinking enough in the winter. So, I resort to mint tea, decaf chai tea, etc to fill the gap. I *do* enjoy sparkling lemon-lime water as a break from plain water. It's the closest thing to soda/pop that I ever drink.
