Do you join more than one Dietbet game at a time?
I do and here is why: It really ups the ante for me, psychologically speaking. I could join one high stakes game and risk more money than three regular monthly games, but I don't. However, maybe one high stakes game...... maybe.... But first let's talk psychology of 3 games vs 1 game.
If they all start and end on the same day then you win big or you lose (they call it runners up - but you don't get your money back so... you are losing money) in three games you have 3 times the support from 3 times the players.
Organizers of games are all different but 90% try to post helpful information. I know when I am the organizer, I make an effort to post daily something helpful and hopefully motivating to my players. It is afterall, a two way street. They have signed up to help push me to my goal. And I want each of them to reach thiei goals. Today I am talking muliple games, but in that is multiple areas of support and there has been much research on the benefits of social support in dieting and weightloss, such as:

I have been a member of one game, where the organizer shared many recipes. Another game had weekend challenges. Another had daily challenges. They are all good! I hope, because my team is small we will all take that on, posting recipes, challenges and supportive words as often as possible.
For me, the thought of losing one game is bad, because I like to play games to win. But the thought of losing THREE GAMES within 72 hours??? Well that is simply unbearable! I have been a runner up once. I didn't like it. You do have to do what works for you. For me, I didn't like losing, but for some reason, the lose of those $$ didn't really effect my attitude.
Now, all last week, when temptations where offered to me by 4d, real world friends, I turned them down easily and bluntly, saying, "NO! I am in 3 dietbet games that end in a few days and I can wait to have cheesecake!" One game I could bare to lose for some delicious cheesecake but THREE??? Nope!
And three times the support. It's pretty cool that when you join a game, you join a team. Some teams number in the hundreds and that is great! There is always someone there to 'like' your comments, but you don't necessarily build up friendships... maybe one or two... but percentagewise, not so much. Small games are great because at the end of 28 days, you really start to know people. Some people like to walk outside (me!) and some are running 5ks and working towards marathons... Oh and I love the DVD workout reviews! I really need to get more regular with my exercise besides walking! And pictures of meals and pets and children. Small teams are great too. The support is phenomenal.
So there you have it. You can join one game, and that's good! Or you can join up to three games and that is 3 times as good! But what's great? I'll tell you what's Great : WINNING! at losing weight and getting healthy! That is what is GREAT! And Dietbet has been my secret weapon!
Personally... I hope you: Step it up! and Join multiple games!
