Amy, I could have written a lot of this post! Most of it, about sleep and the cardio/cortisol relationship - I'm an insomniac and the number of doctors that I've seen that have told me that sleep doesn't affect weight loss is disgusting. I don't sleep well and probably never will - but on the weeks when I average less than 3 hours a night my weight goes up. If I get more than 4 hours a night then my weight goes down. I mean, really - sleep regulates and regenerates our bodies and has a huge impact on hormones, so of course it impacts weight loss!I'm glad that you've found the combination of things that makes for successful weight loss, and that you are back on the road to happy!
