So I know I have said once before I think this diet bet started right on time for me. I went to the state fair with some friends yesterday and typically I would have whatever I want to have whatever I want. A few weeks ago I went to the county fair and had corndog, cheese fries, lemon shake ups, and ended the night with a deep fried snickers...yeah a couple days worth of calories in one evening. Not only that but every time I hang out with this friend we always drink.
Not this time for either one. Neither one of us wanted to drink anyway so that helped that situation. Then when we went to the fair I brouht a protien bar with and only thing I bought was a regular ice tea. This is so not the norm for me but made me proud of myself! Of courseĀ I didn't eat perfect all weekend but in moderation and I was full every time I ate...even hadĀ little pizza and chips and salsa without beating myself up over it because I did so well the rest of the time and we had walked 5mi at the fair.
All in all when I knew I would probably either gain a lb or two back or stay the same over the weekend I actually lost a lb and still enjoyed our time togther without all the junk food and drinking.
After this first week I am starting to feel great and ready to start working out soon! Hopefully whatever I did to my knee will heal up right away but I am not going to let it hold me back at all going to keep on going. I am determine to do this for myself!
