After much debate with myself, with dietbet buddies with my husband, I have decided on 3 games, and one of them is.... a Transformer! Here is why:
The HOLIDAYS well duh!
Actually what I was afraid of was that in a transformer you were not to lose more than 3% a month... that is NOT the case! The 3% is the minimum! If you are slower than average weight loser, then the Transformer really is for you. It allows you to lose less and yet keep losing in order to 'win' your goal.
That's great! Except I am not a super slow loser. I am not a fast loser, either. Somewhere in the middle. I struggle to lose 4 % a month sometimes but last month I think I lost 5% - ((do I get a WOO HOO for that?)) Now I want to hit my 100 pound lost by January, but I also want to enjoy holiday meals. Turns out, this is the biggest sell factor on the Transformer game for me!
Ok so the maximum you can lose without being disqualified from the Transformer game is: if you lose more than 12% in any month and more than 30% from the beginning of the game in 6 months. For me 30% lost in 6 months would be 53 pounds. That is 10 pounds more than I want to lose total! And frankly, I don't remember ever weighing my goal weight, not even as a child. So I am not really worried about being disqualified for losing too much weight.
The minimum loss without being disqualified is also not too high nor low. The first 2 months of the transformer bet (of 6 months, don't forget!) is only 3% instead of 4%! All of you who were runners up at a loss of 3% in a regular game would have 'won' in the first two months of a transformer game! and if you lose more GREAT... just as long as it's under 12% a month (who does that?? I mean who loses 12% of their body weight a month??) If you are like me and are shooting to lose 4-5% a month, you can also play kickstarter games along with the transformer game because DietBet allows you to play 3 games at a time! WOO HOO!!!

OH and my 'icon' picture --- I am going to be pushing myself to do a 5k this fall... My goal starting dietbet in January was to be able to finish a New Years Morning (like the stroke of midnight!!!) 5k without being the last person across the finish line, after being lapped by the 90 year old woman in a walker!!!!
So I hope I am able to do a blog post of my day's 'training' for a couch to 5k my way.

and I was like... now I have a bad knee... and she was like... "no you can do it....!!! Run!!!"
and then I was like, "I am pretty old and never a runner." and she was still all "No run. really!"
That's what I get for having a doctor who is younger and a running enthusiast!
