Mickjam, I can definitely relate to what you're talking about!!! Been there; done that!!! I was going through that for years!!! I know it's hard, but you can do it!!! What works for me (same thing I told Elizabeth) is to have one "treat" meal per day. Decide on what you want, & go from there. Eat a healthy breakfast & lunch, & let your dinner be your treat meal. Give it a shot!!! It can't hurt!!! Even if you don't do it every day, it's better to start somewhere than nowhere at all. It's also better than pigging out on any & everything in sight the whole entire time!!! I'm learning to control what I eat by practicing that. Believe it or not, when you set it in your mind that you're gonna eat 2 healthy dishes & plan for that treat meal, it helps!!! :-)
Also, when you go to the birthday celebration on Saturday, make sure you eat dinner. If you're already full, you'll be less likely to want to overeat. Enjoy yourself, & good luck!!! You can do it!!! :-)
