Somehow I managed to hit my 4% target for Thanksgiving SlimDown but I think the fact that it was SO close means that I definitely need to try harder on my next one and take it much more seriously. It sounds so easy like "oh yeah it's only like 6lbs!" but in reality that's a lot for someone who has already made the drastic diet change.

Had I been at home (like in May) eating the way I used to eat, with my sedentary lifestyle, then cutting 6lbs would have been extremely easy as all I would have to do is change my diet and that would be that.
However, I've been eating as healithy as I can since I moved to France (where possible and without punishing myself) and I'm actually finding it really hard to shift the weight.

I didn't own a scale until today.
I weighed myself in August, and then when I moved I had nothing. So when I went home to visit my mum I weighed myself and I was 83kg - AND THAT WAS HAVING EATEN HEALITHY FOR 2 MONTHS!
I was so disappointed in myself. I'd only lost like 6lbs then. How was it shifting so slowly!?

Since coming back for November, I have found my diet has been very slow. Whereas beforehand I was eating salads a lot and saying no to sweets, now I have been eating more cooked meals (such as sweet potato and carrot curry) and taking desserts when they're offered to me (little bits).

Perhaps my weight loss will just be a slow and steady lifestyle change...
It's hard to get used to, based on my previous weight loss methods. But I suppose if I don't want to have weight to lose again, I shouldn't do what I've done before!
