Well, this is not going as well as I thought it would. I think I am expert at picking low hanging fruit, and now it gets real. Stopping drinking soda, hydrating, drinking smoothies can usually pick off that 5# of water weight, but I have been hitting a wall about 17 pounds down. I know that is nothing to sneeze at, and I am grateful for this DietBet thing and all the incentivizing, but to finish a 6 month challenge, even when the percentage is down to 1, has been a lot harder than I thought it would be.
Life intervenes, and the holidays are busy times. But this challenge goes into January, and keeping true to goals over the break will be the next challenge. I knew it would be, and that is in part why I chose a challenge that extended through the break. If I can finish this strong, I am hoping this will push me past the dreaded "failed resolution" time frame and start the year off right.
In the end, having lost some money in the bet and some pounds off my body really cancel each other out. This is so worth it. Just have to keep swimming....
