Well this is new. New for me at least. It seems that DietBet has been around for awhile, but this is the first I've heard of it. Chris Powell's Facebook message to join DietBet was intriguing. Intriguing enough to check it out. So here I am.
It has been about 3 years since I have quit smoking, and in that time it would seem that I must have replaced my smoking with eating, because I have gained quite a bit of weight that my 5 foot 1 inch frame is having a hard time supporting.
I, like everyone else, will do the big weigh-in on Jan 2. The sad thing is, I don't need a scale to tell me I am overweight, I can feel it. I can feel it in the way my clothes fit, in the way my breathing is more laboured as I climb stairs, and in all the ways I don't want to feel it. I am hoping this DietBet thing will kickstart me into making better choices.
I have a fitbit, so I'll be wearing that along the way to help track whatever it is I'll be doing. (I'm not quite sure how all this works just yet.)
All that said, good luck to you, but most of all, good luck to me. I have a really good feeling about this.
