Day 1 has started. I have started reading labels. I am not sure what to eat because I want to use my calories to their fullest and not slow my metabolism. Today I started the day with a can of tuna in water and an 8oz glass of water. I don't want to feel deprived but am making an effort.

Ugh!!! My line is dead. It's been flatlined for almost a month. How to get off of this plateau??? I got a book from the library today. Gut Balance Revolution. If it opens my eyes, I will most definitely share the news!!!
I really need to get a new photo. I bet I look different after losing 12lbs. :) Last night I made the oatmeal raisin cookies with applesauce instead of oil. They were not too bad. lol
I am trying new things again. Hearts of Palm is not bad. Texture similar to cooked asparagus and the flavor is a bit sour. Eaten cold so far by itself, may try it in a salad. The coconut oil is beginning to be a staple in our home. I like the flavor. It is better than vegetable shortening for greasing pans, frying and in recipes. :D Today I celebrate with a reduced sugar oatmeal cookie recipe for the family. It uses applesauce instead of oil and raisins make up for lost sugar sweetness. I am open to more food suggestions, even exotics!
Today exercise was hard. I didn't sleep well last night and I am sooooo tired!!! Still I managed to eat well and get in 35 minutes on the treadmill. I wish my endurance would start to improve. I managed 5 minutes on speed 3 but I get burns in my right calf even when I walk regular outside. It gets like it is locked and hurts badly. The other leg never hurts. hmmmm.
I went clothes shopping today! I didn't want to punch the mirrors for the first time in forever! They didn't make me cry! It was a happy experience, because the clothes I tried on in my size were too big! The size lower actually fit!!! I am sticking to this lifestyle! :D
I have been eating chickpea burgers on Pita almost all week, trying to stay away from other stuff.I need motivation to work out but going to work and school, I am beat at the end of the day.

I love that tingly feeling in my thighs right now. I know I gave a good effort today. I made fresh collard greens for dinner. I kinda burned the bottom but made enough for a few days. They tasted ok with hot sauce.
I made my goals. I am so excited. I have to keep on working as I am committed to finish in June. One step at a time, one day at a time. I am glad that I found DietBet because I was not losing weight for 2 years. This is motivating!

I've lost track of what day it is. LOL! I celebrated my birthday Monday. Sunday at my mom's and had cake and ice cream. Monday my daughter took me to Ruby Tuesday's. I have no idea what calories were in what and really didn't want to know. I have been trying hard to get back on track. I feel like time is running away with me. Oh and I started a new job on Tuesday. I like it so far! No real stress. :)
