Stretch before and after the run. A lot of people will use foam rollers or something like the massager stick. You can usually find these type of things on Amazon for around $20. Also if you have sore feet or arches I know people who will freeze water bottles and then just roll them under their feet.

Thanks for the advice! I've been foam rolling and my legs are beginning to feel better. My feet actually don't hurt at all-- I was fitted for running shoes and it was worth every penny!
