I too am on the same path as you. It is difficult but all with support we can do this... I am 47 (soon to be 48), heavy all my life and food is my issue as well. Have you started regular exercise or are you concentrating on diet as a start? I have recently gone "flexatarian", meat two to three times a month, other than than mostly vegetarian. It has helped, but it's been tough. I wish you luck and look forward to more posts.

Hi there! I am 46, soon to be 47 on 2/24/16. I have been excersising pretty regularly most of my life, so that's one plus on my side. I just need to push myself harder when I workout. Food is really my downfall. Sweets and carbs are my addiction. When I don't eat them for about three days it gets easier and I feel like I'm more in control of my food choices. I also only seem to over eat when I have sugar and carbs in my diet. After doing the research I see how it all works in my body and WHY I feel out of control when I'm eating sugar & carbs. Now I just need to take the steps to get them out of my diet most of the time. Good luck to you!
