Get Healthy/Stay Healthy and Get Fit/Stay Fit is my new motto. I have to do this for me. I've Yo-Yo'd dieted many times through my life. Up and down again and again.
I know my triggers - stress, anxiety, worry and depression and to be honest I just plain love food.
Right now, I am at my heaviest and I know it is taking a toll on my physical health. Breathlessness and joint pains - not to mention what I can't see - fatty plaques clogging my arteries.
I'm no longer a young chicken, age 56, so all the more reason that now is the time to do this for my health, mental and physical.
I look forward to this challenge and I really know that this challenge is not against others and not even against me, but with myself and for myself. I will be totally honest and will share my struggles and my victories.
