So I convinced my fiance to go out and celebrate our 1 year engagement anniversary Monday night, as opposed to Sunday- because Sunday is the Superbowl and going out will be god awful.
In THAT case, I should hit my goal- which is now 7% which is 157.2 pounds, 11.8 pounds in 4 weeks!!! I'm killing it with the self-care! Last night, I went bowling- and I was DD so I only had one light beer at the beginning of the night. I wanted to sit, plenty of times, because... I'm lazy. But I had myself stand all night to burn extra calories. Also, by the time I left the bowling alley at 1am I was ravenous but instead of eating at ONE A.M. I drank some water and went straight to bed. I've gotten 8 hours of sleep each night this week- which means I need to catch up on some sleep tomorrow or Monday to hit that self-care goal.
I also called TWO friends and talked to them on the phone, gave myself a manicure AND pedicure, and called my mom. All that I still have to do is read a book for leisure, write a song, paint, and play some banjo! I'm so glad I have Sunday off! Today I am picking up my new Future Mrs. Tessier shirt (ow! ow!), then going to see a local friend, thennn babysitting the cutest little two year old. It's gonna be a long day but I"m pumped- behavioral activation is so underrated for depression, folks.
I'm down another 0.2 lbs. Yesterday I ate a lot more than usual. I had a protein shake for breakfast (mixed with gatorade ubleh), an apple, a plain can of tuna, and a small caesar salad (with 2 croutons and a tinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny bit of dressing (less than 1 tsp I swear), a chicken breast, peas, PB m&ms (dammit Chris!), a monster energy (to help with being DD), and half a buffalo chicken tender wrap. That's ~1,700 calories including the one light beer I had. Everyime I ate something not-so-great for me (m&ms or the monster) I would pair it with something high in protein in order to balance the two out. I REALLY think it helps. That's going to be my "go-to" whenever I'm having a bad day- Ill just eat some plain chicken or tuna and it seriously balances it out. I'm not a scientist or a nutritionist but I believe your body metabolizes the sugars and fats differently as long as you have a high protein part of your meal to counteract the rest. It's not something you can always do, you can't eat m&ms with every meal, but at least for me it has helped the scale go down. 157.4 is my newest low and I couldn't be happier with my results right now.
So, after my weigh-in Monday morning, AND MY WIN, I am going to use my earnings to join another dietbet kickstarter from February 9-March 8th which is perfect because I am moving on March 7th & 8th and I bet I will lose 3 lbs in a day with all the heavy lifting I will be doing!!! And what better way to celebrate moving into my brand new KILLER pad then being a few pounds lighter!? My goal for my next kickstarter will be 151 lbs, another 4-5% (depending on how much I weigh at official weigh in).
THEN, yep you guessed it- I am going to use my earnings from dietbet #2 to start an immediate dietbet #3 kickstarter from March 9-April 5th! One of my favorite humans is visiting me April 4th. My friend recently quit drinking and lost a bunch of weight- the healthy way! I'd like to show her my new place's gym and do healthy activities for her visit in DC- go hiking, run around some art museums, go to a yoga class, etc. If I keep up with the 4% loss at the end of dietbet #3 I will be 145 lbs by the time Courtney is here! 145 lbs was my old goal- and still is my goal for my engagement photo session. My wedding photographer has been messaging me asking me to bring my wedding dress home and pose- for free- for a bridal session. She photographer one claire pettibone dress for a bridal session 2 years ago, and made one giant bridal session album with the photos. However, last weekend someone STOLE this bridal session album off her table at a bride expo! So she is offering to take AMAZING photos of me- for free- in my amazing gown. Uhhhh YES PLEASE. Don't have to ask me twice. So sometimes after my dietbet #3 kickstarter ends I'll be traveling to NY and posing for a bridal session with her. I'll be happy posing at 145 lbs, my overall goal is 139- who is going to notice a 6 lb difference besdies me, no one- exactly. That leaves me with 6 lbs to lose from April 4th 2016-July 1st 2017 my wedding. That is completely manageable! I'm so happy everything is falling into place! Good luck on your dietbets everyone!!!
