I decided since I didn't do any exercise yesterday that I'd better get the exercise in early. So, in my pajamas, I did 10 miles on the exercise bike. And, yes I had my Ipad fully charged so I could watch Fat Doctor. Watching similar programs makes you work a little harder, I think.
Today is Superbowl Sunday, but since the Chiefs aren't in it, I'm not particularly interested (except I do like the commercials). However, I did enter a contest and put in 21-17 Carolina to win. No preference, it's just they have had a really good year. There is a Supernatural marathon on starting at noon so plain air-popped popcorn and a diet rootbeer and I are going to settle down and watch that. My Mom and I think the boys that star in that show are good eye candy. LOL.
Since I didn't do any exercise yesterday, I tried to adjust my diet accordingly. Oh and I got the medal and bib (in the mail) for the Leap Year 2.29 miles run on February 29. It's a virtual one, so you are on your honor to actually do it. Sometimes I do them on the treadmill, sometimes outside. This time I think I will go out to Highlands Hammock and do it. I might even "nerd out" and put the bib on my shirt. I have another 5 K (3.1 miles) for mid February and a 10 K (6.2 miles) for April. The 10 K one in April is for Autism and that is near and dear to my heart because my nephew is autistic. The one in mid-February is for the Humane Society and the one at the end of the month is for Rare Diseases (NORD). Turns out I have one, so who knew right? Anyway, I like that portion of all the entry fees go to a charity. And, it does get you moving.
We have a 5 mile run/walk next month at a state park in North Florida, it's a trail run. We don't get a medal (hey anybody that starts running events knows it's all about the medals. haha) though because they don't give one for the 5 mile distances, hahah. A couple of girls at work found this one and informed me they have beer and food after the run, and I think that's why they wanted to go. LOL. Of course, I plan on being on another 4 week challenge so none of that for me! Some of the people are running I think it's 32 miles. UGH. I can't imagine! Never would I do that distance, but there are a lot of people out there that are ultramarathoners and I appreciate them. Just not me.
All of this is to make sure I get in enough exercise to get this weight off!
Okay, so here we go another day and the start of another week. YEY. And, I hope that Carolina wins with my score because if they do I get 2 free virtual race entries. :)
Later. Denise
