So, here we go, on the final stretch. A little more than a week to go on this 4 week challenge. I think most people would agree that is WAS a challenge (IS a challenge). I have been on hundreds of diets, but never one where money was involved and before I put anything into my mouth I am reminded of that. I don't know who came up with this idea, but it sure is a good one. Since we at least get back what we put in if we meet our goal, I didn't want to lose any money. I sure didn't do this thinking I was going to make a lot of money. My understanding is that is not the case, sure you make something but I understand it's not much (I guess unless you are in a really BAD group) but the point is that I don't want to lose what I put in myself. So, hence my efforts to toe the line.
To date I have lost TEN pounds..TEN, T-E-N!!! I doubt it will all still be "lost" when I do the weigh in after the next week because I go up and down with water or whatever it is that makes me go up and down. I can hope it's just down on the day I have to weigh. The main thing is that I NEED to make sure I'm still at the 4% (less than the 10 pounds I mentioned) lost on "the day". But, today I revel in the fact that the scales (today) said I am down TEN, T-E-N pounds! :) I have been having a protein drink for breakfast every morning and I think that and the exercise are why the scales are good to me today.
Going back to Highlands Hammock on Monday if the weather cooperates. I think I will do the 5K loop with my dog Gator again and this time maybe I can go a bit faster? Mom and Daisy Mae (our little Biewer Yorkie) are going to find a trail to walk down that is not that long. Daisy is very little and when she gets tired we have to carry her. So, we have this papoose thing you wear with her on the front, just like a baby. She is 2 years old, not a baby (for a dog) but she is only 6 pounds. But, Gator is an American Foxhound and he can go and go, just hopefully not right in front of me. LOL
So, everybody have a GREAT Saturday!! Don't go off your diets, we only have just over a week to go and now is NOT the time to blow it.
Have a great one.
Later, Denise
