I responded to someone in another DB that I'm participating in (this group is SO much better - not 1 person welcomed me to the group). ANYWAY - thought I would share it here too.
They were frustrated that they "only" lost 1 lbs so far. Yes, this journey can be frustrating-I get that way too all the time - but we HAVE to change our mindset. 1 lbs is AWESOME! Maybe try looking at it through different eyes. 1 lbs is 4 sticks of butter!! Even if you "only" lose 1/4 lbs that is STILL 1 stick of butter that you no longer have clinging to your body. THAT IS AWESOME! So, take a look at what you have done so far and be proud of the changes you are making.
Even if you are at the very beginning of your journey and you haven't lost any 'butter' yet, you will as long as you keep on believing and working at it. I was one of those who didn't see the progress. Didn't believe it could work for me. Frustrated at the work I put in but no progress shown on the scale. I'm officially at my 4 month mark and my clothes are baggy, I feel wonderful, and I'm starting to see myself in a new light. You WILL get there. Just don't give up.
As of this morning's weigh-in I am officially down 91 sticks of butter from my very first weigh-in on 4/28/14!!!! That's 22.8lbs!!! Not bad for someone who doubted herself (and still does sometimes). Love yourself and believe! You are SOO worth it!
