I pretty much blew it over the summer. There are a few reasons why it happened.
1. I've been fighting an achilles tendon injury for almost three years now. After running my first marathon in May, I decided to take some time off to give my achilles some time to recover. I kept eating as if I were training for a marathon.
2. I did a LOT of traveling this summer. I pretty much ate my way across Costa Rica and Peru. It was delicious, especially Peru. I ate a LOT.
3. Summers are hard. I get off my regular work routine and my mind drifts to food constantly. Instead of what can I do today?, I think what can I eat today?
30 pounds. I gained THIRTY pounds. I can see the weight gain in the mirror, although I really don't see 30 pounds. I didn't think I was doing that badly!
I've got some work to do this fall!
