Here is my personal 70 day challenge. (long but this is what I sent to my trainer so I figure I'd share it here)
September 1 - November 9th
The point of this challenge it to make habitual changes that get me in a better place for life and fitness. I don't expect to do it 100% but I'm going to try.
The reason it is until Nov 9th is because we are heading to Orlando for a Universal weekend (10-13th) for my Bday weekend. What better to give myself for my bday than a less in pain and better functioning body.
Follow a schedule:
Following a schedule helps me feel more productive also helps me accomplish more of what I want to do in a day. Being able to check things off a list puts me in a mindset to do more, ie. finish home projects, knit/crochet and other crafts/hobbies, which then helps me de-stress and be happier in general.
M-F start with 10 min of morning meditation and increase as guided in app
M W 5p bootcamp
Tu Th F 830a bootcamp
M W F post dinner DDP yoga with husband
Tu Th add 30 min cardio (elliptical, once it cools down more this may be walking at night with husband)
Saturdays walk 5K (usually causeway)
Sunday rest (well house chores but no workouts)
Of course the bootcamp schedule may be slightly different if life gets in the way but mainly I should be there M-F
Eating Daily goals:
I already follow the eat every 3 hrs schedule, 85% of the time (weekends are hard).
Eat at least 1600-1700 calories (or more if needed, the point is to eat the needed amount for my activities, not eat too little)
less than 100 carbs (50 net)
110g protein
macros in MFP 10% carb/63% fat/27% protein
1/2 weight in water
take my vitamins
Dietbet:
I chose a 6 month diet bet to help keep me focused for this journey and beyond. Basically a monetary reason to keep up the challenge items after the challenge ends. At the end of 6 months the reward would be $300+ which I will think of something I want that I am only allowed to purchase with the winnings from DietBets.
I will also join 3 4 week bets throughout each month to maximize the reward.
Tools:
I'm using the app HabitShare to track(check off) my goals daily
Using the Headspace app for meditation
MyFitnessPal app for food (use this normally finally_4me is my username)
Waterlogged app for water tracking (usual this normally - it reminds me throughout the day)
always use my fitbit app and now have a Fitbit Blaze
