Since Sept 9th 2014 I've lost 12.8 lbs ?!?!?!?!? GO ME!
So how am I doing it?
Keep in mind I have just over 100 lbs to lose.
What I eat?
Low carb/high fat/moderate protein (knows as the ketogenic diet), which is not for everyone but it is great for me. My blood work is near perfect if you are worried about all the fat messing with my cholesterol. I also track my food (using myfitnesspal.com), same username if you want to friend me.
My goals are:
1200-1400 calories a day
20-30g net carbs (total carbs-total fiber)
80g fat (majority being the good fats)
90g protein.
I usually do not eat after 7pm and I never go to bed hungry. No processed food, no HFCS. Real full fat ingredients. Lots of green leafy veggies. I also take a multi vitamin.

What I drink?
I drink at least 1 gallon of water a day. Maybe a day or 2 a week I will have a, diet coke or Fresca. When I drink alcohol, I measure it and plan for it in my meal planning, always a 0 carb flavored vodka with a 0 carb/calorie mixer.
Exercise?
I have been walking with a friend a couple days a week, usually about 1.5 miles, elliptical for 30-45 min a couple day a week. I'll be adding yoga and weights this week.
How do I stay motivated?
I'm doing multiple diet bets to keep me motivated. I done 3 so far and won all of them with a total pay out of $145.14. I just joined a 6 month diet bet a week ago and have a couple more 4 week ones in the pipe.
What about cravings?
I can usually make a low carb version whatever I am craving. Usually sweets. I've also found that even a half serving of, say, ice cream satisfies my "sweet tooth".
Can you keep this up?
This is not a "diet" for me, it is a lifestyle. Over a year ago my husband and I went low carb and have not looked back. Every once in a while we would "cheat" and regret it. Carb hangovers are just a bad as regular ones. The bloating and sudden weight gain after carbing out is insane. Once I reach my end goal I won't be tracking food anymore, I'll just eat when I'm hungry and stay away from the crap I gave up over a year ago.
This is what works for me, I just wanted to share my story.
