Hey y'all me again,
So over the weekend I got hit in the head from the man upstairs. I believe someone needs to hear what he told me so I'm following his lead on this one. In our soceity we are taught to think about others who have things worse. When we are little we are told to clean our plates because others don't have food on theirs. When we want a bigger place to live and it isn't working out we are told there are people who live on the streets. You get the point. Here is the thing, God doesn't want us to look to others and see we have it better then they do. He said to cast our cares upon Him, not compare our situation to feel better about it. NO!! He wants us to look to him for the reason or purpose of our struggles. If we are looking left and right to get our answers we aren't waiting on God to reveal them. We are discounting others struggles too!
So years back my husband and I couldn't pay our light bill so it was shut off. Now if someone who knew of this said "well at least we have our lights on" they are discounting the fact that if it weren't for those times of hardships my husband and I wouldn't be the cohesive team we are today. Am I saying we shouldn't be thankful for what we have? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm just saying we are robbing God of the glory when we move out of that situation of struggle. See what I mean? So next time you are husling to win a dietbet and we are oh so close but see someone has mentioned they have no possible way of winning, realize that this may be their moment to get fed up and become something great. We need to focus on the fact that our struggles are to be brought to God himself, only then will we really see the true reason why we have that burden to bear. To God be the glory for GREAT things He has done! I hope everyone who reads sees the heart that it was written and know that there isn't anyone anywhere that will care about your struggles and pain no matter how big or small like God.
