So I have gained a substantial amount of weight with the stress of applying to internship, matching, planning a wedding, and having my 2nd miscarriage in January of this year. It has been a whrilwind of emotions but I have picked up running, I lift weights twice a week, and I've been doing ab workouts consistently.
So i don't feel like I look all that bad. I'm just heavy right now. I'm thicker than my body is used to. I have managed to gain 20 lbs in 11 months; the last 5 I gained in the last month. I know this weight will fall off pretty quickly and then I will most likely plateau. But here are some of my goals before the wedding which is 17 weeks away!!!!! AHHHH!!!
I want to lose 9.5 lbs from now -> end of March. Easy as most of this is water weight. This goal gets me back to my set body weight.
another 8 lbs March 1 -> March 31st, 2 lbs/week- I think I can do it! This will easily get me back into my wedding dress with a few pounds to spare
and 7 more lbs April 1st -> April 30th; this will be the toughest month yet. I have not weighed this little in quite some time and when I hit this weight it usually only lasts a few days! The end of April is when I want to schedule my first wedding dress fitting so I know my body cannot manage to lose much more weight after this point.
That's 24.5 lbs in 13 weeks. Totally manageable. I'd be happy losing a solid 20 lbs between now and July 1st but I would like to look my best.
If I can somehow manage to burn more of this body fat, my ultimate goal of all goals would be to lose 27.5 lbs by July 1st which is an average of 1.6 lbs lost per week between now and then.
In order to kick start my weight loss so that I can get to a much lower number sooner I am going to be joining "high stake" dietbets weekly for the next two weeks with three total dietbets running until April 6th. Depending on how much I lose I may join 1 or 2 more dietbets before the wedding to make sure I stay focused for the wedding. Last year I weighed in at 169 on January 11th and 149 on March 8th. that's 20 lbs in 8 weeks. And that was with ZERO gym time! If I have done it before, and without a wedding in the near future, I can do it again!
