Do Gimmicky Workouts Work?

That's great if a gimmicky workout gets a person off their rump and working out, but if that gimmicky workout produces sub-par results, how long until that person loses motivation and stops working out? I'd say it's best to stick with the traditional workouts that have withstood the test of time and have continuously proven themselves. Just my two cents LOL.
