The first milestone was seeing my first set of "new numbers"--that stage where the second digit on the scale changes. The next milestone inevitably is when you hit a significant amount of weight lost, and as of today I've lost over 10 pounds.

yessssss

I've also received money from the third Dietbet won, and am officially in another three right now, one of which starts this weekend. It's the Tony Horton one which frankly has me VERY excited. Tony Horton is the creator of P90x, Power 90, P90X, P902, P90X3, Tony's One-on-One, 22 Min Hard Corps, and a bunch of other workouts. I did P90X after I completed the INSANITY workout program some years back and I credit it with getting me into--and enjoying--lifting weights. I had no idea what to do in the gym with weights or weights in general before that program, and I mean none. Prior to that was all body weight training, mostly through yoga and floor work.

By my estimation, I have another 2 weeks before I see the next set of "new numbers". At this point I just have the program in cruise control. My problem has NEVER been being able to lose or knowing how to do it in a healthy and sustainable way, but not getting cocky after and careless with maintenance. Never, ever again will I do that "I won't weigh myself, I'll just go by my measurements and clothes" NONONONO that does not work for me. At all. You'll go through changes in routine, clothing changes, and have nothing much else to go on. Weigh ins once a week from now on, as losing 3-5 pounds is sooo much easier than 30. Yikes, yes, 30. Kill me now. The good news is that I've lost more than 10 pounds out of those 30 so I'm well on my way.
