I weighed myself this morning and it wasn't good. It wasn't bad either, just no progress. Again.

I knew that the first two weeks of the Dietbet would be tough and that I would probably have to lose most of my weight in the last two weeks. This isn't going to happen. 

I could go crazy to meet my goal but I won't. I don't believe in starvation diets and I'm not going to start now. 

So why no change? Quite simply it is down to lack of planning. Consistently losing weight isn't easy for me and I have to stack the deck in my favour. I'm a busy mum trying to keep on top of everything for everybody and I completely overlooked the obvious - having a family break would include lots of eating out. I know that it is still possible to cut back drastically but I don't want to, life is for living. However, I am eating sensible portions and making good choices where I can though I cannot deny that a few treats are creeping in.

But mentally I am in a good place, I'm having fun and not stuffing myself silly with food.

Providing that I complete this bet without gaining any weight I will count that as a win.

I am determined to succeed with my next bet so I am planning for it now.

I am stricter during the week than at the weekend and this is a life choice that I want to continue with to avoid feeling deprived (worked so far - no binging!) I've noticed that many of the bets start and end on a Sunday - I would prefer to weigh in on a Friday or Saturday morning so this requires a Friday start.

I like the $35 dollar bet. I don't feel comfortable with it being higher but wouldn't feel the challenge if it's lower.

Are there any dietbets that meet this criteria? There is now!
