Today I had a long day at work. I started out the day with a 2 mile run/walk and then had a day full of activity at work which also ran late and I really wanted to drive to popeyes and have chicken tenders and relax instead of cook dinner. I wanted that so bad i could taste it in my mouth. But I told myself that I already had chicken marinating in the refrigerator and I needed to go home and eat what i had already started. It was hard but I made myself go home. Once I was home I had more energy and was able to make dinner, make homemade tomato sauce and canned it, and prep dinner food for the rest of the week. It just goes to show that even when I'm really tired I can still take the time to eat healthy. I can still take the time to cook and make the right choices.
Picking up food after work (whether hitting fast food or getting crap food from the grocery store) and eating junk and relaxing for the evening is such a bad habit...and I'm working on getting better and making better choices.
