Well, it finally happened.  I stepped on the scale this morning, and I had  broken the 300 lb barrier (the wrong way).  I shouldn't be surprised.  Poor eating habits, sedentary work environment, and lack of motivation have taken me down this path, but I know I changes are needed.  In December of this year I will turn 50.  The excess weight is keeping me from doing the things I want to do.  I came across DietBet.com a couple weeks ago, and decided to give a Kickstart a shot.  4 weeks seems manageable at this point.  When I reach my goal at the end of the month, my weight will be back into the 280's, with 300 in the rear view mirror.  I have no choice.  I need to do this. When my birthday rolls around on December 14th, my goal is to be back down to 230 lbs.  I am not a betting man, but I do believe in myself.  This is a bet I can't lose, I won't lose.  I will use this site to track my progress.
