We are coming into the last week of this challenge, and my goal looks to be very attainable.  Something to feel good about, and it hasn't been a struggle.  My target to win this challenge is 289 lbs, which in all honesty is still a long ways from where I want to be, but I will get there.  I will say this, my clothes are fitting just a little better than they were a month ago, especially my work pants, so that is a big win.  I plan on entering another kickstarter bet for the month of May, and I am already preparing myself for that one to be more difficult.

I was talking to a guy the other day who wants to lose 150 lbs.  He indicated that it seems overwhelming, and an impossible task.  He felt defeated before  he even started.  I told him to set a small goal, 10 lbs, and when he reaches that goal to reward himself with something because that is a good first step.  It's a lot like taking on the task of cleaning out a cluttered garage.   At first glance it is a huge mess, and it's enough to shut the door and walk away.  But you chip away, one little section at a time, and eventually you have yourself a clean organized garage, and you have the satisfaction of a job well done.  The big difference is, with a little hard work and determination, a clean garage can be accomplished in one day.  It's a much longer process with losing weight.

So my lessons this week, don't let the big picture prevent you from starting great.  Celebrate small victories.  Eventually you string those small victories together, and you have yourself a big win.  I say all this knowing I still have a long way to go.  I have yet to achieve the goal I have set for myself.  I still have to navigate my way thru another week of pitfalls before I can declare victory on this challenge, but I have faith.  So should you.
