I was really good at losing weight. It was like a hobby for me! Once I had my formula down, I just went through the motions and the weight kept coming off. It was still hard work, but I had my habits and routine in place.
I knew it would be harder after having a baby! I let my body do its thing and I actually got back to my pre-baby weight "without even trying" (working out 6 days a week and breastfeeding, but still eating more sugar and high carbs than my usual). After sleep training, I suddenly had all this TIME in my life again, which I filled with eating. I didn't realize that part of why I lost the baby weight so easily was likely due to my unintentional, intermittant fasting. I'd eat a hefty lunch, go to work as a dance teacher (back to back classes for 4-6 hours), come home and immediately tend to baby until bedtime, without leaving any time for myself to eat.
I joined a round of kickstarters to get myself back on track, and I thought it would be as simple as before to shed these extra lubs. Turns out I'm going to have to actually put in some work this time! more than 1 week in and I've only seen 1 lb change on the scale!
Progress goal: lose 6 lbs in 19 days
Process goals:
- Drink 100oz water every day
- High protein, low carb meals
- Limit eating after 7pm
- Walk more, even in the rain
