I am in the same boat with running! I hate it, but I love what it does for me, so I love it. Guess I am not the only one. I have very little cartilage in my left knee, so I need to be careful. I am trying to run once per week on the causeway that goes out to one of the barrier islands here in Charleston. It is a 3.4 mile round trip. I haven't made the whole thing yet as a solid run, but I know as long as my body holds up I will get there. Good luck on your races! (And yes, the competition aspect of Dietbet is fueling me too!)
